Technology Resources for Faculty

The LIS Computer Lab staff are available to assist the faculty in using the computing resources for all courses.

Reserving computer classrooms - There is a computer classroom in Law Room 318 that may be reserved for a class by contacting Margaret Pooley before the start of the semester. Alternatively, you may click the Computer Lab Calendar link on the navigation bar at the left to verify that the lab is available, then submit a request weeks[at] with the desired date and time. The Information Commons in Law Room 315 may be reserved by checking the Information Commons reservation calendar and then sending an email to weeks[at]

Passwords - Anyone who plans to use the computer classrooms needs to have a password account which is managed by Tech Services. You may retrieve your network password from Cardinal Station. However, this is different from your Cardinal Station user ID and Password. Your network logon username and first time, temporary password can be found by logging onto Cardinal Station and navigating to Portfolio -> Your Email and Network Login.

Once your account is established, you may change your password offsite using the Changing Passwords procedures.

Cardinal Station - You can access your class roster by following these instructions:

Pulling Up Class Rosters

  1. After logging onto Cardinal Station, GO TO Faculty Self Service and then to Faculty Center.
  2.  Display your class roster by clicking on the people group icon on the far left of your teaching schedule for each class listed.
  3. See pictures of your students using the appropriate display option.
  4. Undergraduate clinical coordinators are responsible for assuring that clinical sections are accurate and assigned to the correct clinical associate.  This is a campus security requirement since we must be able to locate a student in a class.  Please be sure the sections are correct.

You can post your grades in Cardinal station by following these instructions: Faculty - Input Grades .

Software for Classes - The computer labs run only licensed software on all computers. In the Windows7 environment only an Adminstrator can load most software so that it will run properly. In order that the faculty and students will have a safe and trouble free computing environment, the Technology Committee has established procedures for requesting the purchase of software. Please consult the Technology Acquisition Policy and use the Technology Acquisition Request Form to submit requests.

Loading Class Web Pages on the Server - All arrangements for loading class web pages are managed by CUA Technology Services. They will establish a web share (space on the server) for your class web pages and give you a path to the server connected to your user ID and password that will allow you to upload web pages. You may email Technology Services at techsupport[at] for help.

Blackboard - If you want to use the online Learning Management System, Blackboard, you may view the details at:Tech Services Instructional Learning Blackboard site for Faculty page and then email the contact person Berkeley Collins at collinsb[at]
