How To Register

 LOG INTO CARDINAL STUDENTS

Cardinal Station is the online system for registering for classes. If you are new to the school, go to the admissions portal to pay your enrollment deposit. You should receive an email from technology services giving you your CatholicU username which will be the same for your Blackboard login, your login for any campus computer or Wi-Fi access, your @cua.edu email, the syllabus repository, course evaluations and Cardinal Students. You will set your password, which will be the same across all these CatholicU platforms. Once you have access to Cardinal Students, you can log on and accept the statement of financial responsibility and then register for classes. Click on your "Open Enrollment Dates" to see when registration opens for you. The following presentation may help you better understand the system.

Additional Notes

Library Science classes are divided into two groups:
"LSC" courses are those taught on Catholic University's campus.
"CLSC" courses are those taught at distance locations, e.g., Library of Congress.

Academic Term Codes
Although it may appear that the 4-digit codes for academic semesters are random, the code actually reflects the starting date of each semester:

The last digit is the month in which each semester begins. Thus spring semesters will always end in a 1 for January, summer semesters will end in a 5 for May, and fall semesters will end in an 8 for August.

The second and third digits represent the year.

The first digit reflects the century:  1 = 21st century.

For example, the summer 2018 term  is 1185: 1=21st century, 18=the year, 5=May
