Fall 2007
• Form committees for the accreditation process:
• Advisory Committee √
Coordinating Committee √
• Steering Committee √
Six Standards Committees (one for each of the 6 ALA Standards for Accreditation) √
• Submit annual statistics report to ALA and the Association for Library and Information Science Education (Dec. 1). √

 

Spring 2008

• Steering Committee and the six Standards Committees meet and begin their work. √

• Standards Committees develop their chapters for first draft review (due Feb. 10). √
• Submit the Plan for Program Presentation to the Committee on Accreditation (March 23, 2008). √

 

 

 

Summer 2008
• Committees continue their work.

 

 

Fall 2008
• Committees continue their work.
• Draft Program Presentation submitted to the Committee on Accreditation (November 23, 2008).
Spring 2009

• Final Program Presentation submitted to the Committee on Accreditation. (February 9, 2009).

• External Review Panel visits SLIS (March 23-24, 2009).
• ALA Committee on Accreditation votes on SLIS reaccreditation (ALA Annual Conference, July 9-15, 2009).
